New Tilta Base Plates Coming Soon
I’ve been meaning to post this for a while now but so busy. I saw this video from Dan Chung from DSLR News Shooter that was shot at BIRTV 2012. It shows a few new Tilta base Plates for Sony F3, FS700 and Canon C300 as well as a high end two sided follow focus. These don’t have the intagrated shoulder pad like the on BS-T03. It appears to look like the camera with rails attaches to an ARRI style dovetail system with a new quick release. The demo was a little rough showing how this works but you get the idea. I wonder if Tilta will create a dovetail shoulder pad for this new system.
Have a look. One thing I found interesting and a little funny is that Tilt is pronounced Til-Ta and it means metal heads. I like that!

Hi!
Will you do a review on your new Lumix with the AF100?
I’m specially interest in the quality (image and build), usability and usefulness for gun and run shoot (like the image stabilization and parfocal performance).
Cheers.
I did a review and can be found here.

Very nice lens for the AF-100. Cant wait to get the 35-100 next.
LOL. Sorry.
Didn’t see it…
I read the post when it first came out with the video and then the second video but I didn’t stop by again to read the extended written review.
Quick question: is it true that the AF100 only resolves 800 lines? That’s really short for 1080p work… almost the same as 720p 🙁 Is that a fact? So, almost no difference between the two.
Thanks!
I don’t think that’s true. The AF-100 is a full 1080 camera. The HD-SDI out is uncompressed 4:2:2 8 bit. Where did you hear this?
Hi!
Have you had a change to take a look at what I sent you?
Best regards.
I did. Lumix is going in the right direction and hopefully more will come.
