Premiere Pro CS6 is Making Me Happy!

Really Erik? Your NLE is making you happy. Dude you need to get a life! Well that might be true but when you spend days editing and not shooting you want it to just work. Crashes are a royal PITA! And that’s what I was experiencing a few weeks ago on my Mac Pro with an AJA Kona 3G card. I was getting Serious Error warnings and then it would crash. This was driving me crazy! The fix came after AJA and Nvidia came out with new drivers. First AJA had a new plug in for 6.0.2 on the Mac as well as a new version of the Control Panel for mac. That solved the Serious Error’s thank god! And I mean it solved it completely. In over three days of eight hour editing sessions not one single issue.

So if your a Premiere Pro user that also uses AJA IO cards don’t do updates to Premiere until AJA or even BlackMagic Design has delivered updated drivers first. Lesson learned.
