EF to MFT Speed Booster In The Works?
4/3 Rumors posted this picture of a Metabones EF to MFT Speed Booster with electronic contacts. This was talked about before and I believe Metabones canceled the idea but looks like it’s back on for a August release. This is good news for any MFT user including GH3 and AF-100 cameras. I would like to use my EOS lenses on the GH3 with the increased field of view a bump in speed. Oh! and electronic control of the iris as well? Crazy cool! The article is thin on info and yes it’s a rumor but it still is interesting and worth following. No price info but I’m going to bet that it aint going to be cheap. This adapter fixes so many issues all at the same time when using full frame lenses on cropped sensors. Canon makes great lenses and to able to use them on MFT cameras would be just awesome. We shall see……
UPDATE VIA 43rumors.com.
The Korean site Dicahub reports that the planed August launch of the EF to MFT Speed Booster has been delayed. But their sources also said that it’s still going to be announced within 2013.
