New Live Van Halen Footage From The 1983 US Festival

October 2, 20130 Comments

Okay so you’re right this has nothing to do with video production. It’s Van Halen live from 30 years ago! I was at the US Festival that night and we had a blast. Van Halen is my favorite band of all times. I grew up listening to every track they recorded. Being at the US Festival, and seeing Van Halen was amazing. Now 30 years later Historic Films Archive the copyright holder of all the official footage shot of all the bands that played the US Festival decided to release this video clip from what I’m sure is the whole performance that they have. It’s fun watching them play “Somebody Get Me A Doctor” and Eddie as usual was killing it! Dave, well….. Either way what a cool video to see and it brings back some really great memories.

Okay back to video blogging.

Fun fact. Van Halen was paid the record-setting fee of $1.5 million. The 1984 Guinness Book of World Records created a new category based upon the price of this performance.
