Amazon has the Canon 7D as DISCONTINUEDThe rumors have been flying about a new updated Canon 7D camera. We don’t know if it’s a whole new APS-C camera or a replacement for it. As it looks Amazon has the Canon 7D marked as “DISCONTINUED”

First announced on September 1st 2009 makes the 7D almost five years old. The 70D is such a great camera and has a lot of features that video and stills shooters like. Mostly the amazing Duel Pixel AF Sensor. That thing is really a huge advance and I would expect all new Canon cameras to have it. So for the 7D it had a great run. The most popular Canon camera for filmmakers that didn’t want the full frame look. The APS-C size sensor is pretty close the S35 that is used in cameras like the ARRI Alexa and RED.

Here is a list of accomplishment for the 7D from Wikipedia.

Film[edit]

Television[edit]

Lots of interesting cameras so far this year and it looks like Canon is up next. We shall see?
