The First Footage From The New Panasonic Varicam 35
Varicam 35: First Look from Varicam on Vimeo.
Welcome back Varicam! This is the first footage released from the Panasonic Varicam and it looks stunning to me. I like the varied shot types from low light to studio and nature. It really covers the full spectrum of shooting scenes and they all look really great.
I’ve always liked the look of the Varicam in HD. Great production camera. Now Panasonic has updated it with a modern 4K camera and even a high frame rate HD camera. The Varicam is a high end camera at a high end price that I wont be able to purchase, but what is exciting is that Panasonic has this new sensor and engine that can be used in different lower priced camera models and hopefully soon.
Sony sure has had a big run up this year adding more cameras than all the other companies combined. In fact Sony seems to be competing with themselves at the moment. This is crazy!
