Zacuto Z-Finder EVF Firmware Update Adds Presets For GH3/GH4 & Sony A7s
Nice to see Zacuto keeping the Z-Finder EVF up to date with a couple of the hottest cameras out. I’m lucky to have both the A7s, GH4 and a few others as well. Blackmagic and FS700. Not sure if they were on the original firmware but I doubt it.
The new presets are a welcome addition.

To do the update follow these instructions.
How To Check Your Current Firmware Version
In the Main Menu select ABOUT
The EVF will show the current version
How To Upgrade Your Firmware
Once you download the firmware the next thing you need to do is have a USB Thumb Drive formatted to FAT32. Please note this is not the default file system used for either Mac or PC and by formatting your thumb drive in this way it will erase all data that is currently on the thumb drive. You must also use a thumb drive and NOT a USB cable from your computer.

Copy the current firmware file to the FAT32 thumb drive
Insert thumb drive into EVF USB port
Select UPDATE from the EVF menu
Select USB DRIVE
Select START UPDATE

Hi Erik, Zacuto Z-Finder EVF has Mini HDMI cable port and Lumix GH4 has Micro HDMI port. What Micro HDMI to Mini HDMI adaptor do you use?
Background: I use HAMA Micro to Mini HDMI adapter but since update to FW 3.02.08 Zacuto EVF is not recognizing any more the signal from GH4, “unsupported video format VFMT 0 0”. Zacuto support is not reacting and I have a shooting this weekend and desperating trying to find any solution.
