New 3D Printed Lens Gears Work Like A Charm

February 27, 20150 Comments

Larry Wright from Refocused Media told me about these new 3D printed lens gears from followfocusgears.com and I had to check them out. I was impressed how perfect they fit on the Canon 24-105 with nothing extra to hold them in place. No strap. No clamp. These are seamless and fit so snug they dont slip at all, but are very easy to put on and take off. BRILLIANT! I bought two. One for the Sigma 18-35 and one for the Canon 24-105. Both fit like a glove!

They aren’t cheap at around $35 each but I feel they are worth every penny. Not being universal means they have to actually make one for the lens you have. On the site it looks like they have a pretty wide selection and if you don’t see your lens they can make a custom one for $45.
