Atomos Ninja Assassin 4K HDMI Only Recorder Comes Out From Nowhere
Looks like the Shogun now has a light version without SDI. The Ninja Assassin. It’s still a 7 inch monitor that will record 4K to the A7s A7rII and the Panasonic GH4. Pricing is $1295 and includes a nice light case. The recorder/monitor looks to be covered in with a bumper but other than that appears very similar to the Shogun minus SDI. I’m sure we will be hearing more from Atomos soon but Jay P Morgan sure got lucky getting his hands on the first one.
Features of the Ninja Assassin:
4K 10-bit color resolution
4:2:2 color accuracy
ProRes and DNxHR record formats
Record up to 10 hrs HD on a 1TB drive
