Blackmagic Design URSA Mini 4.6K Now Shipping Without Global Shutter

Blackmagic URSA Mini 4.6K is now shipping however without global shutter. It seems the engines are having issues with it on the 4.6K model. The URSA Mini 4K model does have the global shutter and use it up to 60 FPS and is also now shipping.

Grant explains that the delay in shipping was due to trying to get the global shutter to work properly in both camera and decided to not have the feature in the URSA 4.6K. It’s not clear if the feature can be added via firmware update at a later time if they can resolve the issues. Grant is pleased wit the large amounts of beta tester footage and feels the URSA Mini 4.6K with 15 stops of dynamic range is truly a filmic camera that is ready. I have to agree. The images I’ve seen have been very nice.
