I was inducted into the Pacific Southwest National Academy of Arts & Sciences Silver Circle

It was a real honor to be inducted into the Pacific Southwest National Academy of Arts & Sciences Silver Circle recently. I’ve been in the broadcast business for over 30 years. Wow, just writing that makes me feel pretty darn old!

The Silver Circle recognizes professionals who have performed distinguished service within the television industry for 25 years or more. Established in 1983, the Silver Circle has nearly 300 Members.

Gold Circle members have served the industry for 50 years or more. Gold and Silver Circle members are honored for more than their longevity—they are honored for making an enduring contribution to the television industry’s vitality and for setting standards of achievement we can all hope to emulate. These honorees also give back to the community as mentors, educators, and volunteers.

I also picked up three Emmy Nominations this year! There is so much goodness going on, and I’m thrilled to be a part of such a great team at NBC 7 in San Diego. I take pride in my work and enjoy sharing what I have learned over the years with others. Sharing is important, as I have learned much from my peers over the years.

Here’s to many more years of creativity. Cheers!
