Cine Gear 2024 is on the Warner Bros lot this year
Cine Gear 2024 is one of my favorite trade shows for several reasons. One is that it’s only 2 hours from San Diego to Los Angeles, so I dont have to fly; second, it’s only two days. Lol! Okay, the show is great because it focuses on cine gear, not broadcast, and I love to see all the filmmaking-oriented tools. NAB is more focused on broadcast, and the halls are massive. Yes, NAB has had major camera releases, and it is the biggest trade show for gear, but being bigger isn’t always better. It’s a lot of walking to see what you want and some years it was rather dule for video production and filmmaking. One thing I do love about NAB is seeing all my friends I have connected with over the years. That is what makes NAB special.
Traditionally, Cine Gear in Los Angeles has been on the Paramount Lot. and at the LA Convention Center a couple of times during the Covid pandemic. While the Convention Center was super easy to get around to the exhibits, it lost the luster of the studio lot and the outdoor sets from New York and San Fransisco streets at Paramount. Matt and I will be at the show to cover all the new products and updates. Make sure to check in on Newsshooter.com for the latest news.
I attended a Canon presser last week and was excited to get a first-hand look at the new Cinema Camera that will be unveiled on June 5th. I wish I could share more, but those pesky NDAs won’t let me. 😀
Go to Newsshooter.com for all the details on the new Canon Cinema Camera June 5th. You’ll be surprised.
I hope you are well, and if you are in LA for Cine Gear, I’l see you at the show!
