You can now purchase a RED Digital Cinema camera and a ton of accessories from B&H Photo and Video.
This is a big move for RED because they have stuck with smaller vendors in the past. They not only are stocking the RED DIGITAL CINEMA WEAPON Carbon Fiber Brain with DRAGON 6K Sensor (PL Mount, Standard OLPF) for $49,5000. But all the goodies you would also need to make up a working system.
The advantage here is a lot of big companies have preferred vendors and to no surprise B&H is a BIG vendor. This makes it much easier for them to purchase. Granted the cameras look to be a specialty order and is non-cancelable and non-returnable but U think if you already decided on throwing down cash to get into the RED camera ecosystem you know what you’re doing.
For support accessories it sure will make purchasing a little easier as well.
