Using a mobile phone for video capture can be a messy, bulky affair, and audio is especially important if you are vlogging or making shorts and reels. The DJI Mobile Receiver makes getting audio from your existing DJI transmitters much easier than using the included receiver.

The DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver easily connects to your smartphone via its USB-C Plug or the DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver Adapter (USB-C to Lightning). It’s plug-and-play and supports up to two transmitters at once, so you can pair one or two DJI Mic Mini, Mic, Mic 2, or Mic 3 transmitters, or any combination of two transmitters. The OG DJI Mic is the only transmitter that is not compatible.
The Noise Cancellation Mode Switch lets you quickly switch between three noise cancellation levels:
Off (O), Basic (L), and Strong (H).
I highly recommend avoiding the noise reduction feature, as it affects overall sound quality. Has a muffled sound. If the environment is super noisy, then try the Basic setting, just dont use it all the time. What is nice is that it’s a switch, so you know when it’s been activated.

The USB-C port on the DJI Mobile Receiver (used with DJI Mic, Mic 2, and Mic Mini) serves two primary functions: it allows you to charge your smartphone while recording for extended sessions, and it enables real-time audio monitoring when connected to analog USB-C headphones. This little receiver is so capable for only $15.

If you know you only want to use the DJI wireless audio system with a mobile phone, this kit, which includes two DJI Mic Mini and the Mobile Receiver, is a great option for only $45.

The integration with smartphones is its mojo. A lot of creators and journalists are moving toward mobile workflows, and having gear that supports that without adding complexity and bulk is a big advantage.
If you’re already invested in the DJI Mic system and shooting with a smartphone, this is a very good addition. It simplifies the workflow, reduces bulk, and delivers high-quality audio in a very portable package.
