The Sony NEX-FS700R has been out for a while now and in some ways has become a more valuable tool over time. When paired with a Convergent Design Odyssey 7Q+ you can record 4K and high frame rates at now a really good price. The camera body is now under $4K at $3999 and comes with a Metabones EF to E Mount adapter too! Not a bad price considering it’s a 4K camera, but is it past it’s prime? I don’t think so. Sony has been putting a ton of features in the cameras they release. This makes them last longer. The only issue I have wit the FS700R is the ergonomics. It’s just a box. If you stay on a tripod it’s fine but any type of handheld work will require a rig of some kind. Outside of that at $4K it’s a very good deal!

I believe you listed specs for another cam. The lack of XLR was the tip-off.
