Can I use any off-the-shelf media with Odyssey7Q?
The Odyssey Monitor/Recorders capture multiple video and RAW data formats at various frame rates and resolutions. The data loads can be taxing and protecting your media is our paramount concern.
Convergent Design SSDs can be used for recording all signals compatible with your Odyssey device. They are available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB sizes. These SSDs are warrantied by Convergent Design for three years and are expected to last far longer even with heavy use.
Convergent Design Odyssey Monitor/Recorders also support qualified 3rd party SSDs. These are media that we have extensively tested and found to match our performance requirements. They can be used for any of the recording formats compatible with your Odyssey. As these are not Convergent Design products we cannot warranty the performance of individual 3rd party SSDs.

Note that ONLY Convergent Design or qualified 3rd party SSDs will function in an Odyssey Monitor/Recorder. Other media will prompt an “Unsupported Media” warning and the device will not record.
Convergent Design sells a 5-pack of SSD handles to attach to 3rd party SSDs for mounting in Odyssey Monitor/Recorders.
