Blackmagic Design’s New Web Presenter Makes any SDI/HDMI Camera a Webcam

BlackmagicWebPresenter_Front

The new Web Presenter looks like a very easy solution to an issue most content creators have when they want to do live web streams. You generally have to use a webcam or find a way to hook up a HDMI camera to your computer. Blackmagic is taking all the technacal hassles out with the Web Presenter.
Your computer basically sees the Web Presenter as a webcam and offers you the option to connect to it. It doesn’t matter what camera you are using. This will bring the production quality up nicely while also getting the best image you can since the Web Presenter is converting any SD, HD or Ultra HD video source to 720p for easy, low data rate, high quality streaming

Shown with optional Teranex Mini Smart Panel

The optional Teranex Mini Smart Panel allows Blackmagic Web Presenter to operate as a 2 input live switcher that also shows video preview, audio meters, video input, USB frame rate and input video standard. No drivers needed works with all platforms using the operating systems native webcam software.

Compatible Services and Software

YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Twitch.tv, Periscope, Skype, Open Broadcaster and XSplit Broadcaster.

On the back of the Web Presenter is a SDI, HDMI and USB Webcam input. For audio you have Analog options with RCA stereo and Line/Mic XLR.

Blackmagic Web Presenter features automatic frame resynchronization on the HDMI input so you can work with multiple sources and automatically synchronize them to ensure glitch free switching. This advanced feature lets you transition between sources cleanly, as long as they are running at the same frame rates and resolution.
