When the Gratical HD was released I wanted one. Really wanted one, but I just couldn’t afford the $3000 price tag. It’s a really fine EVF with the features we need. Checked them out at NAB and wanted one. The single most frustrating thing with all cameras are the very lacking EVF they have. It’s like camera manufactures don’t want us to be able to focus or they all think we have incredible vision. Monitor are getting really good. Sharp and color accurate but they cost a good amount to. I think the SmallHD 502 is a great option if you need a small on camera monitor. The Sidefinder that isn’t available yet looks to add even more functionality at a cost. I have the 502 and my review is coming shortly.

Part of my interest in the URSA Mini is that it appears to be a complete camera with viewfinder and yes it’s a high quality one too. The URSA Mini wont need a upgrade EFV.

I’m very interested in this new Gratical X. Priced around $1600 plus features I want might be a good investment. After all we have to see what the heck we shoot right? For far to long it hasn’t been that easy.
